San Antonio Colon and Rectal Clinic

Colon & Rectal Surgery Residency

The San Antonio Colon & Rectal Clinic is proud to partner with the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Healthcare system in offering a one-year postgraduate residency training program in the field of colon and rectal surgery. Residents compete from around the U.S. for the opportunity to train with our physicians. The training program meets the requirements set forth by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. We participate with the National Residency Matching Program and offer one (1) clinical residency position each academic year. With a faculty of ten (10) colon and rectal surgeons, the resident will be exposed to the full range of colon and rectal surgery.

Candidates must have completed at least five (5) years of training in an approved general surgical training program. Generally, candidates are only accepted if they are certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Surgery. Exceptions may be made for outstanding candidates who have completed equivalent general surgical training in a country other than the United States or Canada. All candidates must be eligible for full licensure or residency licensure in the State of Texas.
